Alabama lawmakers blame Biden’s ‘appeasement’ for U.S. troops killed in Jordan


Alabama's Republican Congressional delegation is criticizing President Joe Biden's foreign policy following the killing of three U.S. service members. attack By an Iranian-backed militia.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Sachs.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said Biden's appeasement strategy in the Middle East is responsible for continued violence that endangers U.S. national security.

“President Biden's fear of escalation has turned into appeasement,” Rogers said in a statement. “The weakness shown by this administration emboldens our enemies. Until this president shows strong leadership and strikes fear into our enemies, attacks on our service members, allies, and interests will continue. Unfortunately, I don't think that day will come until we have a new leader.”

Rogers emphasized that Biden's policies were directly responsible for the soldiers killed in the attack.

“Our enemies are trying to usurp America's leadership — half-measures and appeasement are built directly into their plans. Real leadership requires real action,” he asserted. . “Today is a heartbreaking reminder that when policies like appeasement fail, it is the military who ultimately pay the price. Americans deserve better leadership. .”

U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) said he was praying for the families of military personnel and warned, “We will not tolerate these attacks on our troops.”

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) also said he was praying for the family and called the attack “predictable.”

“President Biden must protect our military and these deaths at the hands of Iran must be addressed,” said Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville).

Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) said the attack was just further evidence that “Biden's weakness on the world stage is emboldening our enemies.”
