Republican leaders in Alabama are expressing strong support for President Donald Trump’s recent decision to target three nuclear facilities in Iran with airstrikes over the weekend.

The President announced plans to deploy B-2 bombers to carry out these strikes, with the intent of crippling Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Governor Kay Ivey characterized the operation as a demonstration of “how peace through strength works.”

Ainsworth also praised Trump for what he sees as necessary steps to safeguard American interests globally, stating that Iran’s behavior has been problematic for decades.

U.S. Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville both referred to the decision as one that contributes to global safety, emphasizing the importance of Trump’s leadership.

Additionally, U.S. Representative Mike Rogers, who chairs the House Armed Services Committee, declared that the President’s choice to strike Iran was the right course of action, underscoring the seriousness of the situation given Iran’s relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Other Alabama Republicans have similarly backed the military action against Iran’s nuclear sites, drawing historical parallels to prominent wartime leaders.
