‘Are You Kidding Me’: Sean Hannity Clashes With James Carville For Defending Biden Admin’s Border Policy

Democratic strategist James Carville defended the Biden administration's border policies in a separate interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday.

of Discussion The discussion turned into a broader debate about national security and accountability, with Hannity grilling Carville on specific cases, including emotional questions about the families of victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants.

“What do you say to Laken Riley's family? What do you say to Rachel Moore's family, the mother of her five children? What do you say to Jocelyn Nungary's family? I interviewed her mom and her grandpa on this show,” Hannity asked Carville.

“It's going to be very difficult. It's going to be very difficult for anybody to tell the parents in Uvalde that their children are being slaughtered with legal weapons that no one should have,” Carville replied. “You're changing the subject,” Hannity interjected.

“The border has nothing to do with this. Please fact check me. Please fact check me. The border has nothing to do with these mass shootings and AR-15s. We all have hard questions that need to be asked. Anyone can say that. You can sit on the sidelines and throw peanuts,” Carville explained.

“I think the border crossings today are pretty much the same as they were when President Biden took office. Do I think border policies were less effective in the past? Yes, because they did what I said they would. I showed you what I said at the beginning of the show. When you hear these statements, you know the progressive left identity is always going to lead to bad policy. But now when you look at Senator Langford and Senator Murphy's plan, it was negotiated, but Donald Trump rejected it.”

The exchange grew tense as Hannity questioned Vice President Kamala Harris' performance and asked Carville to stay on topic and justify her role in the administration. (RELATED: “The Original Progressive Prosecutor”: Fox News host slams VP Harris, blames sanctuary cities for rising crime)

“We're clearly better off than we were four years ago. Look at the employment rate four years ago. Look at the stock market four years ago. Look at the crime rate four years ago. Are you kidding me?” Carville explained. “I'm giving you very specific metrics. Is the country better off than it was four years ago? And I say, 'Yes, it is.' And that's the end of the story. That's James Carville's take.”
