Officers at the Palm Bay Police Station (PBPD) have arrested the man who dressed Ronald McDonald for a trespassing.
A video shared by PBPD on Thursday showed officers approaching the man who dressed Ronald McDonald. Video suspect Christopher Marlowe was banned from the Plaza prior to his recent arrest, According to Arrest affidavit obtained by Fox 13 Tampa Bay. Police said they were warned that he would be arrested if he returned. The suspect was allegedly “offensive” against the officers. Police said they were warned before their arrest.
Police said Marlowe was homeless, TMZ It has been reported. The officers could be heard on the video asking him to take his belongings down because he was arrested, but Ronald McDonald Doppelganger appeared to refuse to cooperate.
“Why, so can you take me?” Marlowe said in the video. Bodycam footage showed police taking action in an attempt to handcuff Marlowe. An obvious brawl ensued, and the suspect ended up on the ground.
The tense encounter continued as PBPD officials removed Marlowe’s personal items from their pockets.
The officers eventually managed to put the cuffs on the alleged suspect trespasser, and despite his apparent efforts to resist, they were able to take him to their car.
As I entered the car, I heard a verbal exchange between the parties on video. The officer said to Marlowe, “You look like a clown!”
He replied by yelling, “No shit, I’m a clown, I’m a stupid!”
The footage showed searching and emptying what looked like a suspect’s bag, pulling out many red noses and clown costumes, searching and emptying PBPD. The sound of the clown horns was heard repeatedly throughout the video, but it is unclear exactly where it came from.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, authorities charged one count of trespassing other than structure or transport and resisted officers with violence. (Related: McDonald’s iconic “Happy Meal” is changed to a stupid decision)
The police affidavit said Ronald McDonald’s appearance had passed through alias “Evil Jesus.”
It remains unclear if he is still in police custody.
