Ashley Biden Files for Divorce After Over 13 Years of Marriage
Ashley Biden, the daughter of Joe Biden, has reportedly initiated divorce proceedings from her husband, Dr. Howard Kellin, following more than 13 years together.
The 44-year-old filed the necessary documents at the Common Plea Court in Philadelphia on Monday. In a recent Instagram story, she posted a photo of herself walking in a serene park with a thumbs up, possibly signifying a fresh start.
In the post, she mentioned, “A new life, a new beginning means a new boundary. It means a new being that does not look or hear like it was before.” It’s intriguing, though, as the precise reasons for their split have yet to be clarified. Additionally, the couple does not have any children together.
Biden and Kellin tied the knot in June 2012 in Greenville, Delaware, after getting engaged in 2011. Their wedding took place at St. Joseph of the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, attended by around 200 guests.
Previously, Joe Biden expressed support for the engagement, stating, “This is the right guy, and he’s getting a Helba woman,” highlighting his approval back then.
As for Howard Kellin, he’s known to work as an ENT doctor and plastic surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. So far, he hasn’t offered any public comments on the situation. Efforts to reach out to Biden’s attorney for remarks went unanswered prior to publication.
