sedona news – Authors Diane Phelps Budden, Chris Seeholzer, Janine Trevilian and photographer Mark Elder will present their book “Sedona We will discuss the film’s filming locations then and now. This talk is part of the museum’s Sedona Story Speaker Series.

Sedona movie locations past and present

Published last year, the book highlights some of the popular Westerns filmed in and around Sedona over the years. Stills from the movie are lined up with modern photos of the same locations, and locations are included to help fans find their spots. Speakers will discuss the films included in the book, their filming locations, and their favorite Sedona Westerns.

“Over the years, the museum has received inquiries from many who enjoy Sedona’s filmmaking heritage and would like to visit the old filming sites,” said Janine Trevilian. “This book is an attempt to provide that opportunity for movie lovers.”
