Yuma, Arizona (Kyma, Kecy) – Arizona Western College (AWC) collaborates with Pipeline AZ to launch a new bridge program aimed at helping students in Yuma County transition from high school to college I’m doing it. The program, scheduled to be launched later this month, is designed to expand career exploration and encourage university admissions.
Katherine Adams, Senior Vice President of Pipeline AZ, shared that the program is designed to seamlessly carry career-related activities for students. “It’s really easy and seamless to do activities related to your future career,” she said.
The bridge program focuses on high demand, high pay, and high-skilled occupations, giving students the opportunity to explore different career paths and make informed decisions about their future. “The program allows students to begin exploring their careers, identifying paths and actually making informed decisions about their future,” Adams explained.
A former Yuma County student currently enrolled in AWC shared how he hoped the program was available when he was in high school. “As from Yuma High, you haven’t heard much about the university, so I’m happy to hear about more opportunities than you may have,” AWC sophomore Aden Lerma said.
The bridge program also allows students to explore a variety of career paths without feeling trapped in one direction. “It gives them the opportunity. If they come here and think it’s not the exact career path I want, then it’s not too late. It’s the perfect timeline. With AWC’s physical health coordinator One Jane Fisher said:
