Bayacan, NatureSweet say, ‘Thank you’ to Graham County community

Editor:

Thank you Graham County Voters and Board of Supervisors for this wonderful opportunity to diversify Bonita’s Conservatory Campus. Spent a good deal of time learning about future plans for creating a sustainable operation by growing cannabis. Ask your family, co-workers, and neighbors the importance of this vote by asking the tough questions.

NatureSweet and Bayacan also extend their thanks and sincerely thank their supporters. We thank the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, former County Manager Joe Carter, and countless individuals in the Graham County business community, including Kip Kempton, Tory Cranford, Tim Linden, Reid Richens, and Kim Gifford for their professionalism and dedication. We thank Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Vance Bryce and members of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. We quickly recognized the job opportunities and economic and financial impacts associated with our plans. Their assistance at various community meetings and events has helped us succeed. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Graham County Chamber of Commerce as we advance our greenhouse diversification practices.

I would also like to thank the former Nature Sweet employees and their families for their dedication to the Nature Sweet organization during the turbulent years of the past few years. The livelihoods of the NatureSweet family were an important consideration in our planning and approval of this rezoning provided options for future employment at the greenhouse.

This rezoning approval was an important win for us, but the work here is far from over. We are committed to implementing our diversification plan in the coming months and years in accordance with state and county requirements and regulations. We are actively recruiting job seekers from Graham County and the San Carlos Apache Tribe. And we are committed to remaining good neighbors and partners in this community.
