Chris Pratt Comments on Trump’s Presidency
On a recent episode of “Club Random,” actor Chris Pratt shared thoughts about those who have criticized former President Donald Trump, mentioning that many people seem to overlook the accomplishments of his administration.
Pratt, who married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019—daughter of Maria Shriver, niece of the late President John F. Kennedy—discussed his views during a conversation with Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy has aligned himself with many of Trump’s policies but has faced condemnation solely for his association with the former president.
“In politics, you inherit your enemy,” Pratt noted. “When you support someone as controversial as Trump, it naturally reflects poorly on you.” He expressed confusion over how to navigate this landscape but conveyed a sense of camaraderie, likening their interaction to sharing a meal.
Pratt pointed out that Kennedy is involved in bipartisan efforts, particularly in initiatives aimed at reducing harmful substances in children’s food. “While I often feel burdened by the negativity towards the president, I still find certain successes from his administration important,” he added. “It can be quite perplexing.”
Kennedy and the HHS have been notable for launching the Maha Initiative, aimed at promoting healthier food options. Starting in April, several major food companies, including General Mills and Kraft Heinz, are planning to phase out chemical food dyes.
Additionally, the HHS has endorsed natural food colorings for a range of products and announced a voluntary commitment by the Consumer Brands Association to eliminate these artificial dyes from school offerings by 2026-2027.
