Bloomberg Washington correspondent Sarena Mohsin said Tuesday that President Joe Biden's decision to decline a CBS News interview on Super Bowl Sunday is a “clear sign” of what may be coming.
Asked by a reporter in Las Vegas on Monday what he would say to former President Donald Trump, Biden said he would debate the president “immediately” on Monday. Biden argued that Trump “has nothing else to do.”
“But what's interesting is that President Joe Biden said no to the traditional 60 Minutes interview before the Super Bowl,” Mohsin said. “And for me, the fact that he's saying no to what's expected of him, which is serious interviews, just sitting and waiting and waiting for the message, allows him to really get his message to the audience. Biden is not expected to be interviewed by CBS News during the Super Bowl. The upcoming match is expected to draw millions of viewers.

Biden did not give an interview to Fox Soul during the 2023 Super Bowl. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that Fox Soul, part of Fox Corporation, canceled the interview. A Fox spokesperson told the Daily Caller that despite some “initial confusion” in dealing with the White House, Fox Soul still looks forward to the interview.
