The original iteration of Trump-era law on the left (around 2017-2020) was two things. Select and run progressive federal judges to secure injunctions or to bounce as many men as they please. History reflects rather limited success in both respects, but both have caused (some) political damage to the target.
Additional benefits: The voter masses did not accurately punish the Democratic process for misuse. As the party won presidency in 2020 and performed better than expected in the mid-term 2022. (Related: David Blackmon: Trump was able to bring every aspect of the Obama climate agenda to one side.)
Chapter 2 of Lawfare covered the latter stages of Trump’s first term and the beginning of the Biden era. Here, the plaintiff Barwing, with the left heel, filed a well-known climate change-related lawsuit on behalf of the Blue State and Region.
High expectations for this Green New Deal tactic have been destroyed (to date) as even Democrat-appointed judges at the Democratic venue easily dismissed such claims from the Bridge and others. (See David Blackmon’s recent Daily Caller News Foundation column, “Not holding a lever of power, Democrats focus on laws to slow down Trump’s agenda.”)
Chapter 3 of Lawfare was, of course, a variety of tactics adopted during the Biden administration for investigation – Appeal – Try it – a prisoner – and declares the Orange threat after it is revealed that he plans to run for reelection. Therefore, most of 2023 and 2024 highlighted the assaults – a major ju trial – a prosecution – a trial – and (at least one) conviction. Always accompanied by the unfaithful declarations of normal highlands, especially the old standby “No one has surpassed the law.”
The barrage of law induced bad news (and bad polls) sounded really good for dark blue America, who hates Trump. Here, the full power and resources of the U.S. Department of Justice (in addition to local prosecutors in Manhattan and Fulton counties, Georgia) will guarantee sponsorship of the suspect on January 6th.th He was ultimately brought to court for not so coincidence that he knocked out the first round of president in 2024.
But then…life happened… because the general public was educated to the facts, circumstances, and often special applications of the law behind legal conspiracies.
In the end, people were not impressed. The expected groundwell against Trump did not come true. In fact, the general shallowness of the case reminded me of the accumulation of many similarly large (“this time, ‘we'”).
All of these bring us to a potential new stage. The shoes are on the other foot. On the right is a rub extension for revenge against perpetrators, including local prosecutors, federal prosecutors and former Attorney General Garland himself.
And the new border emperor Tom Homan doesn’t stop because the Trump Justice Department requires the investigation into Congressional seating (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) in an effort to educate illegal immigrants on how to prevent investigations of immigration and customs enforcement (“ICE”).
My 2 Cent: Leave the penalty phase to the professional enforcement department, either of the state’s Bar Association (Recall Bill Clinton lost his legal licence in Arkansas for five years after lying under oath in the Monical Winski case) or the ethics committees of the House and Senate respectively.
This route may not be a sexy alternative. It can certainly be bothersome and unhappy with the lean meat crowd.
But it protects the President and his administration from weeds. When Trump claims it is about success, not revenge, he denis the opportunity to left to claim that he lied.
Come to think of it, why do we want to turn the story from winning (everyday) to revenge? The left is in defense, where the latest polls choose to die in the hill (USAID giveaway – female track and field men – more immigrants than American citizens).
At the end of the day, it’s about keeping an eye on the award, especially when you insist on breaking down. jus ‘sayin’.
