Bomb Threat Forces Swing State County GOP Headquarters To Close

The Republican Party’s committee headquarters in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, was forced to shut down on Saturday after staff received a bomb threat over the phone, according to a press release.

The Pennsylvania Republican Party says an “angry” caller made a “profanity-laced bomb threat” to Montgomery County Offices around 11:07 a.m. The state Republican Party says it has seen an increase in violent threats within the party. Since September, it has been pointed out that this incident is not isolated.

“Nothing will stop us from working to elect someone who will get our country back on track,” Pennsylvania Republican Party Chairman Lawrence Tabas wrote.

“And there should be unanimous agreement that political violence has no place in our elections, especially after an innocent Butler County husband and father lost his life to political violence.” he added. “We urge Pennsylvanians to make their voices heard by voting, not through violence or intimidation.”

“If you don’t answer, I’ll kill you!” “Found you, skinned you alive, and used your skin to smear toilet paper, you bastard, you bastard!” According to the press release, the test message read: It is written as follows.

Then, on Oct. 10, protesters reportedly “forced entry” to the Delaware County Republican Party headquarters, threatened to “kill staff members,” and refused to leave the building, according to a press release. “This type of harassment – behavior that amounts to intimidation and intimidation – has no place in our community,” Republican officials told the outlet at the time. “We condemn this in the strongest possible terms and call on our friends across the aisle to do the same.”

According to the press release, by October 17, an unspecified number of Republican officials had announced that their “property” and families “could be affected” if former President Donald Trump wins this November. He said he received an anonymous letter warning that “there is.”

The state Republican Party said local police, Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s Election Integrity Task Force and the FBI were aware of the threat.

Mr. Shapiro’s office and the FBI did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
