Bowl for Kids’ Sake Raised Over $88,000

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS) Thanks to 90 teams of talented fundraisers and community partners, we are happy to announce that Bowl for Kids’ Sake has reached its $85,000 goal and surpassed $88,000. Since 1984, her annual youth fundraiser has been a fun and easy way for businesses, friends and families to protect the potential of the hundreds of young people served by her YBBBS.

“Thank you so much to everyone who attended and played at this year’s Bowl for Kids salmon event. With over 1,000 people attending, our mission is strong and shows that the community recognizes the important work we are doing here at YBBBS,” said Executive Director Erin Mayberry. “It was great to see the team and the smiles during the game, hear the laughter and camaraderie. Thank you for being a part of our amazing community!”

Thanks to community partners like Mirgard Windows and Doors in Prescott Valley and the MITER Foundation, our mission of one-on-one youth mentoring continues to grow as we expand our services to young people up to age 24.
Several Mirgard teams raised about $18,000 this year, followed by Yavapai County with about $14,000.

Top individual fundraisers include Kenny Schultz, Mike Reinert, David Bundy, David Bierman, and Laura Jones.

BFKS sponsorships from Advanced Coatings, Connolly Electric, Courier Cares, Big O Tire, Olsen’s Grain, OneAZ Credit Union, Servicemaster of Prescott, Unisource Energy, Foothills Bank, Canyon Aeroconnect, Arizona’s Hometown Radio Group, Nackard Pepsi and Farmer’s totaling $30,000 exceeded the dollar. Insurance Jeff Champ, Printpack, Ledbetter Law Firm, Chino Heating and Cooling, CAFMA Firefighter Charities, Black Bear Diner, Little Caesars, Findlay Toyota Center, Smelter Town Brewery, Panera Bread, Fann Contracting, Edward Jones, Salt River Materials Group, Yavapai Broadcasting , Amazon, Pioneer Title Agency, Findlay Toyota.

We thank all team members for supporting our mission,” said Development Specialist Brian Bergner Jr. Brothers and sisters, please help match the nearly 90 children on the waiting list with the mentors and friends they need. ”

The 2023 Bowl for Kids Sake will be held April 15-16 and April 22-23 at Antelope Lanes in Prescott Valley and Shake Rattle and Bowl at Camp Verde.

Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids Sake will have a long-lasting positive impact on the youth of your community. Mentoring programs help young people broaden their horizons and learn how to make good choices. Mentoring puts young people on the path to fulfilling their potential and succeeding in school and life.
