Bronze Valley puts $500,000 into the latest Alabama accelerator group.

Five startups are participating in the Spring 2025 class of the Bronze Valley Investment Accelerator (BVIA). Each startup will get a $100,000 investment through a 12-week program aimed at boosting the growth of Birmingham’s entrepreneurial scene, helping them access capital and establish connections. Interestingly, all the founders moved to Birmingham for this opportunity.

The latest cohort features:

aleoop: A platform focusing on revenue intelligence, it turns sales feedback into actionable insights for B2B tech teams.

Valancia: This Energy Tech company is using AI to optimize energy management in multifamily residences.

Feedcoyote: A global freelance collaboration platform that already boasts over 105,000 users.

Nyad: This AI platform automates manual troubleshooting tasks in industrial wastewater management.

transition: AI tools for trade and career schools, streamlining processes like student registration and job placement.

BVIA is part of the nationally recognized accelerator and investment platform, Gener8tor, which has a strong presence in Birmingham. Hailey Med Bed Kendrick, the senior managing director of Gener8tor, remarked that these five companies are excellent candidates for further investment and growth.

“From Climate Tech to AI-based education, this cohort presents real market solutions and promising initial traction,” Kendrick stated. “Each founder showcases a clear strategy for deep expertise and scalability. We’re looking forward to refining our strategies, securing vital deals, and raising the funds necessary for expansion.”

Investment accelerators like this are key elements of the Bronze Valley Venture Lab, a collaboration between Bronze Valley and Gener8tor focused on fostering high-growth companies. Kendrick noted that they received over 450 applications for the Spring 2025 cohort, highlighting its broad appeal.

Alongside capital investment, the Spring 2025 Accelerator cohort will benefit from personalized coaching, access to over $1 million in resources, and connections with more than 100 mentors and investors within the Gener8tor network. The program will conclude in June with a showcase event featuring the founders and a group of investors.

“We’re investing in founders who build scalable, high-impact businesses,” said Neil S. Wright, president and CEO of Bronze Valley. “This cohort highlights the commercial opportunities and capabilities that lead to substantial returns. Through BVIA, we are revealing prospects that others may have missed and demonstrating that great businesses can emerge from anywhere.”

The BVIA aims to support underresourced entrepreneurs. This program is made possible through partnerships with Innovate Alabama, Alabama Power, Regions Bank, First Horizon, Alabama Blue Cross Blue Shield, Spire Energy, Pinnacle Bank, and PNC Bank.
