Auburn University men's basketball head coach Bruce Pearl spoke out about the national situation after a video of Duke University's graduation ceremony went viral on social media.
When honorary guest speaker, famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld, was introduced to speak, a small group of pro-Palestinian protesters among the graduating class walked out.
The students who walked out did so in protest of Seinfeld's proud Jewish heritage. Pearl commented on the walkout on his X account, as he has done many times on issues related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Hamas has murdered, raped and tortured 2100 innocent people, including 45 Americans! They have taken hundreds of people hostage and are still hiding them in Gaza. Duke University officials say they understand how strongly some people feel, but they just don't know. Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱🇺🇸 https://t.co/mMjyejWZIk

“Hamas has murdered, raped & tortured 2,100 innocent people, including 45 Americans! They have taken hundreds hostage & still hide them in Gaza. Duke University officials say they understand how strongly some people feel – but they don't know. Am Yisrael Chai,” he tweeted.
Pearl has used social media on numerous occasions throughout the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to comment on the current state of world politics.
Whether people like it or not — and there are certainly many who don't — the Auburn University head coach plans to continue to stick to his guns and not shy away from speaking his mind.
