‘Canceled Democracy Within The Party’: RFK Jr. Slams Democrats Amid Fight To Stay On Election Ballots

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday blasted Democratic Party leaders after he was removed from New York state's upcoming election ballot.

Democrats are actively trying to remove Kennedy from the ballot in several states in a controversial move, and further legal challenges are expected. He hasn't tried to take me off any of the ballots,” Kennedy explained when asked why Democrats are so opposed to him. “They've tried to take me off the ballot in every state. Sean, I've done what everybody said I couldn't do. We now have enough signatures to get on the ballot in every state.”

While Kennedy was able to gather enough signatures, Democrats relied on minor technicalities. The fight has centered on a variety of legal and procedural challenges brought by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), which Kennedy claims are frivolous. “The Democratic Party that I grew up with, with Sean, Robert Kennedy, John Kennedy, Martin Luther King, was a Democratic Party that was at the forefront of the fight to ensure that all Americans could vote for the candidate they wanted. And today's Democratic Party is doing the exact opposite. They're trying to disenfranchise millions of voters who want me to vote for them,” Kennedy continued.

The issue sparked a broader debate about the fairness of the electoral process. “It's pretty inconsistent with the history of the Democratic Party, and it's inconsistent with this very strange election where the Democrats canceled the primaries. The Democrats claim they're trying to protect our democracy from Donald Trump, but they canceled the primaries, they canceled democracy within their own party,” Kennedy told Hannity.
