Majumuda reportedly said he had won the election by four votes before being informed that a recount was needed to certify the results. That’s when Matty arrived at the counting center, where he claimed he ate almost half of the ballot, according to the report.
TMC reportedly won the majority of the seats. They reportedly now have 18,606 grams of panchayat seats out of 27,985 declared seats. The party with the second most seats is the BJP with 4,482 seats, ABP said.
Panchayat seats weighing 63,229 grams are on sale in West Bengal, according to ABP. BJP reportedly leads with 2,419 undeclared races.
In India, there have been reports of violence at polling stations in Panchayat. Of the total 33 poll-related deaths this year, 15 died on Saturday, the report said. About 60% of the dead were reportedly affiliated with the ruling TMC party.
