It’s day seven of the Yavapai Silent Witness CATCH 22 program, and Yavapai County Law Enforcement is asking for public assistance in their search for fugitive Jonah Lewis Honey.
On the afternoon of January 1, 2018, the Prescott Valley Police Department received a call that Honnie was walking in the middle of a road near Oldtown Park in Prescott Valley. When her callers honked and tried to force her off the road, Ms. Hony walked up to her and kicked her car door.
When the police arrived, they found Honey, who appeared to be sleeping in the park. When he woke up, he tried to hit one of the police officers. As Hony continued to resist, he told the officers he was going to kill them.
After getting into the police car, he started hitting his head in the car. To keep her safe, the police pulled her out of the car and tried to headbutt her. Horney continued to beat the police after subduing them.
Honey then spit blood and spit in their faces while they were watched by firefighters.
Honney was convicted of aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated assault on a firefighter, and disorderly conduct. After spending some time in prison, he was released on probation for misconduct. He has now obtained a nationwide extradition warrant with $25,000 bail for the above incident.
Honey is a 28-year-old Native American male, 5’9 tall, weighs 220 pounds, has dark hair and brown eyes. His last address was in Cholla Province, Sakaton, Arizona.
