Charlie Kirk’s Passing Triggers Fresh Demands for National Renewal

Good Life Newsletter

This week, we delve into the tragic situation surrounding Charlie Kirk and reflect on what it means for us moving forward.

A few months before Donald Trump took office, he cautioned that we were about to face an unprecedented emotional and mental struggle. His victory was something to celebrate, an important turning point for our nation. Yet, he also contrasted his early presidency with the current situation under Biden, hinting at the challenges ahead.

For me, the emotional ups and downs have been intense. The tragic event regarding Charlie Kirk has left many, including myself, feeling quite disheartened. So, what comes next?

I’ve been through various stages of grief, but I think I’ve settled into a “demand action” mindset. I want to see the revival that Charlie envisioned for our country.

Yes, I want my political side to succeed, but the more pressing fight is for the very soul of our nation. Charlie’s wish for young people at college campuses was for them to have hope—hope that their lives had meaning, that their faith in God and the importance of family could give them direction.

He often encouraged his audience to attend church, marry, and have children. This revitalization is essential for our society. I’ve discussed motherhood and family often; being a mother is perhaps the most significant choice a woman can make.

Sure, I often hear from other feminists who question my stance. It’s not about making choices for others, but rather sharing my own experience. Honestly, my life truly began when I held my first daughter. Each child added a renewed determination to create a better world.

Charlie understood this profoundly. You could see his love for his wife and children, which grounded him and motivated him to build a future worthy of them.

We must carry forward Charlie’s mission by reaching out to the lost youth of our nation, sharing the truth of faith, and offering them hope instead of despair.

Now, it’s our challenge to step in and fill the void he left behind. That’s the reality we face.

In our home, we don’t allow our kids to have cell phones. I’ve explained the reasons in earlier editions of this newsletter. Even the high school freshmen in our home are phone-free. My daughter sometimes uses my phone to connect with her friends, and recently, I overheard her discussing Charlie Kirk and her aspirations for the future.

She shared with a friend, “The ultimate goal in life is to get married, have children, and go to heaven.”

She’s a straightforward student and a talented athlete, confidently expressing her desire for a well-ordered life. This is precisely what Charlie stood for. I sincerely hope this path remains viable in our society.

As a closing thought, I ask you to pray for Charlie Kirk’s soul and for peace for his wife, Erica, and their two children.

What I observed this week:

Over $5 million has been raised for Charlie Kirk’s family through a fund initiated by Daily Caller co-founders Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel. They aimed to alleviate Erika’s worries, with the initial $1 million coming from Tucker and Neil, while the rest has been generously contributed by Charlie’s supporters. It’s touching to see such a united front.
