Chilling Video Shows Moment Hero Rescues 15-Year-Old Girl From Alleged Sexual Assault

On July 28, a resident in East Harris County, Texas, reportedly acted quickly and intervened to stop an alleged sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl.

According to Harris County Sheriff's Department (HCSD) investigators, the incident occurred when the suspect stalked the girl after she got off a public bus. KHOU 11 News.

“I looked out my window and saw a man hitting a woman on the ground and trying to take off her clothes,” David, a local resident and gun owner, said in the video reported by the media. (Related article: Armless man gets gun license using his feet)

Hearing the victim's screams, he quickly sprang into action, he recalled.

“I ran up the stairs, grabbed my gun, went outside and asked what was going on, and the girl yelled, 'I'm 15, help me,' so I pointed the gun at her,” David recalled.

Surveillance footage showed David pointing the gun at the suspect and yelling for him to stop, and he then grabbed her by her hair, David told KHOU 11. The victim took refuge in a nearby apartment, David added in the video.

A neighbor who witnessed the altercation told the outlet: “I was really scared at first because I thought she was going to be raped. If he hadn't come out, she probably would have been raped or something,” the neighbor said in the video.

HCSO told KHOU 11 News that the suspect was on the same bus as the victim prior to the attempted assault. Authorities say the suspect reportedly chased the victim onto an apartment complex. A neighbor told the news site the girl was there to visit a friend.

According to the outlet, HCSO released a photo of the suspect.
