A Clinton-appointed judge on Wednesday issued a preliminary injunction against the Biden Education Department's newly revised Title IX rules that require schools to accommodate transgender students.

Sippel, a Clinton appointee. Said “This is particularly problematic given that the new definition of sex discrimination affects each provision of the regulations that the Department is seeking to take immediate effect,” the ruling said.

The Biden administration's Title IX revisions, which are set to take effect Aug. 1, outline federal protections for LGBT students and victims of sexual assault. Joining Missouri in the lawsuit were the attorneys general of Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, North Dakota and South Dakota, as well as Arkansas high school athletes, according to the original lawsuit.
