Cochise County couple making western movie at Harker’s Museum and Movie Set

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — An independent western is being filmed in Tucson this weekend, and a Cochise County couple is starring in it.

The shooting is taking place below Harkers Museum and Movie SetIt's on the south side.

Rick Harker is a movie set owner. It's a project he's been working on for decades, after an inspiration: old tucson. This weekend's shoot is Revenge: Tombstone Memories This is currently the 33rd production being filmed on this set.

Michael Munro and his wife started visiting southern Arizona from New Hampshire about 10 years ago. They have grown to love the area and now live near Tombstone, where Munro operates. western reenactment group.

Acting opportunities within the group eventually led him to write film scripts on his own. This movie is about a former sheriff whose wife was murdered in a robbery, and he searches for the culprit.

“People ask me, 'Is this a dream come true for you?' Although it was a dream come true for me to come out here in the West and join the Tombstone vigilante group. , I never thought I'd be here doing something like this,'' Munro said. “We are just blessed.”

Munro hopes to shoot about half of the movie here this weekend and have it released next spring.
