TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) – The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting near Sierra Vista.
The incident occurred in the Camino Segundo and Camino Principal districts.
The CCSO said the male suspect barricaded himself in a recreational recreational vehicle and was shot several times.
Neighboring residents were asked to evacuate to designated locations.
There was no school bus service for Joyce Clark Middle School students to reach the evacuation area. School authorities have asked parents in the area to pick up their students from campus. The shelter-in-place had no impact on campus.
