Coconino County Fair Turns Seventy-Five

Cara Casiola Davis of Flagstaff said:

75 years later, the Coconino County Fair has become a predictable event for locals, visitors and Northern Arizona families. This year’s fun lineup included bands, multiple fair food options, carnival rides, livestock and even camels.

Cara Casiola Davis of Flagstaff said: “It still has a sense of that small town community. I especially enjoyed part of Student Day. I went through and saw many students from various schools that I knew. There are such talented people in our towns, and that was shown in a fair entry.”

There are food options ranging from authentic Mexican to Hawaiian, along with fair food favorites such as corn dogs, curly fries and funnel cakes.

The main stage featured live music, while the variety stage featured magic, juggling and Shakespeare shows. The exhibits range from art to rocks, tractors, miniature trains and more.

The Coconino County Fair represents and celebrates the culture of this community,” said Andy Bertelsen, Coconino County manager. “Every year we look forward to hosting it. We have a four-hour child with animals. We have a lot of very diverse cultures, and some of them are I’m very fortunate to be a part of it.” FBN
