Coconino County offering paid summer internships around region for local youth | Navajo-Hopi Observer

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona – Coconino County Health and Human Services and the Coconino County Workforce Development Commission are offering Youth Work, a summer 2023 work experience program for teens. The program offers her teens from age 15 to her 18 a unique opportunity to explore career paths, make connections and earn a wage.

Youthworks internships run from May 30th to August 1st. This internship is designed to help teenagers discover what they want to do in their future career. Participants earn $16.80 per hour and work up to 40 hours per week.

This summer work experience is more than just a summer job. His teens who attend will explore career and academic paths as well as build friendships, networks and teamwork skills. Internships are open to his teens in the county, including Flagstaff, Fredonia, Paige, Tusayan, and Williams. Internship start dates vary by location. Applications for Youthworks 2023 are now being accepted through CCHHS Career Services. Deadlines for each location are as follows:

• Flagstaff – due May 15th

• Tusayan – Due May 15

• Williams – Due May 15th
