Coconino County Parks & Recreation Seeks Committee Members
Coconino County Parks & Recreation is looking for applicants to fill open positions on the Parks & Recreation Committees in Districts 2, 4, and 5.
The Parks & Recreation Committee serves as a civic advisory group, providing feedback on the development and management of the county’s parks, trails, and recreation programs. Committee members will have a significant influence on creating a recreational environment that caters to the varied interests and needs of Coconino County residents.
To be eligible for service, applicants must reside in the districts they aim to represent.
• District 2 includes parts of Flagstaff, such as the Southside, Sunnyside, and Greenlow areas.
• District 4 comprises communities like Moenkopi, Cole Mine, Tonarea, Inscription House, Lake Torani, Loup, Donny Park, and Winona.
• District 5 encompasses Page, Fredonia, Tuba City, Coppermin, Caibeto, Cameron, and Timberline/Fernwood.
The committee meets on a monthly basis and collaborates closely with park and recreation staff to offer recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.
