Coconino County, Arizona — Coconino County Sheriff’s Office We mourn the loss of one of our retired K9 agents, a dog named Kiko.

Kiko was an eight year veteran who proudly served in the military from 2008 to 2016.

According to officials, Kiko was born in Slovakia and came here to Arizona to serve the entire Blue Ridge and Coconino communities.

During Kiko’s career, sheriff officials said Kiko made significant contributions to public safety. officials said it did.

Kiko and his handler, lieutenant Rick Shaws, retired together in 2016.

“The Blue Ridge area has always been a safe place with Kiko and Lieutenant Shaws on duty. All who worked with Kiko and knew him will cherish his memory.” officials said.
