In an op-ed Saturday, a New York Times columnist sharply criticized President Joe Biden for his adamant refusal to acknowledge a seventh grandchild.
Hunter Biden is married to ex-exotic dancer Landen Roberts, and has a navy son, Joan Roberts (now 4). Joe Biden has consistently refused to acknowledge her as one of her grandchildren, and White House staff reportedly instructed the president to have only six grandchildren.
“The Navy story reveals how outdated and unreal the 80-year-old president’s view of family is,” wrote Times columnist Maureen Dowd. digittitled “Seven Grandchildren, President”.
Hunter Biden insisted he didn’t remember meeting Landen Roberts, but Dowd even though he somehow ended up receiving his consulting firm’s paycheck while she was pregnant with Navy’s Joan. points out in his column.
“The president’s ruthless demeanor and heart run counter to every message he has sent over the decades and are not aligned with the America he wants to continue to lead,” Dowd said. wrote. Legally, there is no doubt that Navy Joan Roberts is Hunter Biden’s daughter. He has settled a child support suit with Landen Roberts, and her relationship with Navy Joan has been confirmed by a paternity test. “Joe Biden’s mantra has always been ‘family is the absolute most important thing.’ That’s the core of his political narrative,” Dowd continued. “The empathy born of a family tragedy was his trade item. To leave a cruel scar on a Navy life is to ruin a Navy life that has just begun.”
For the 2021 and 2022 Christmas seasons, Joe and Jill Biden decorated their socks with the names of their six grandchildren, deliberately omitting the Navy’s name from the decorations.Jill Biden also has books for children Book In 2020, she dedicated her six grandchildren, but not the seventh, Dowd noted in her column.
Separate reports say Biden’s White House aides have been told that the president actually has six grandchildren, not seven. report From the New York Times.
