Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to do the worst with Jewish voters of any Democratic presidential candidate since the Reagan administration, according to a Manhattan Institute poll released Friday.
If the election were held today, Harris would receive just 67% of the Jewish vote, lower than President Joe Biden’s 68% approval rating in 2020, according to the poll. This is a far cry from the 80% approval rating that former President Bill Clinton received in 1992. 658 Jewish registered voters Found. His 36% win rate with Jewish voters is the lowest of any Democratic candidate since Michael Dukakis in 1988. “Many [Jewish voters] “Democrats are probably uncomfortable with allowing voices that criticize Israel in extreme terms, such as calling it a ‘genocide,'” said Jesse Arm, chief of staff at the Manhattan Institute. As stated in the analysis of the results. “This is evidenced by the fact that Jews almost universally support Israel. Only 5% of Jewish voters say they are not supporters of the Jewish state.”

The survey also found that 41% of Jews are “very” concerned about rising anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party, compared to 38% of Republicans. The gap is even wider among politically independent Jews: 46% are “very” concerned about rising anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party, compared to just 30% of Republicans who are concerned about the issue. “Very” concerned.
Compared to former President Donald Trump, Harris’ weakest issues are “security, Israel, and anti-Semitism,” the study showed. Jewish voters supported Democrats most strongly on abortion.
“The Democratic Party’s advantage among Jewish voters has consistently declined,” Arm wrote. “Jewish voters remain largely aligned with the Democratic Party, but cracks are emerging in their support.”
The Harris campaign and the Manhattan Institute did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
