Cochise County, Arizona (KGUN) — As soon as Del Thola purchased Benson’s ranch in December, he knew he was bringing the music festival to Cochise County.
The 20 acres are home to livestock, as evidenced by the various stalls and barns on the property. In mid-March, Thola and his family will acquire a large vacant lot, especially for country music fans to gather and have fun.
“I grew up on country music.
The Cochise Country Music Festival will run from Friday, March 17th through Sunday, March 19th, with one headliner per day.
Joe Nichols will perform on Friday. Sawyer Brown is scheduled to headline Saturday, while Clay Walker is scheduled for Sunday night.
Torra said she worked with a Tucson agency to help find artists to attend the festival. Although the event is called a country music festival, the lineup also includes Aokusa artists.
“I think it’s more of a down-home festival,” Tora said. We want you to come, relax and enjoy yourself. ”
The public awareness of this event is fairly new, but the community has already welcomed it.
“I didn’t expect the response to be this good,” Thola said. “It’s actually a little bigger than we planned.”
He has sold up to 10,000 tickets and expects the festival to sell out on all three days.
Tora will also have vendors and food trucks on site throughout the weekend.
