County Sheriff Alerts Community About Registered Sex Offender in Camp Verde

Community Notification from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is required to share information about sex offenders as per ARS 13-3825. This community notice is intended to inform residents about individuals living in non-consolidated areas of Yavapai County. It’s the responsibility of the Chief Law Enforcement Agency to notify the community, especially when a sex offender is released from Arizona State Jail under an interstate compact or returns to the community from the county jail. Offenders are classified into three risk levels: Level 1 (low risk), Level 2 (intermediate risk), and Level 3 (high risk).

One of the individuals mentioned, Keith Mitchell Hollingsworth, 38, was convicted of a sex crime that necessitates community notification. He has informed the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office of his residence at Highway 260 & FR 9E 34 50335735N, 111 5767345W, AZ 86322.

In Yavapai County, on January 8, 2007, Hollingsworth was convicted of an attempted registration failure and received a 36-month probation sentence. Following that, on October 15, 2007, he was found guilty of another offense. A separate case from April 25, 2018, involved another individual who was also found guilty of failing to register, leading to a 2.5-year sentence.

This community notification isn’t meant to instill fear; rather, the Sheriff’s Office believes that well-informed communities are safer. It’s important to note that using this information to threaten or harass sex offenders is unacceptable.

YCSO encourages the public to utilize their sex offender registration and notification programs available at www.ycsoaz.gov. This registry allows individuals to input a local address and receive information on registered sex offenders living within a mile radius. There’s also a free email notification service that alerts residents about registered offenders nearby.
