Riley Gaines, now host of Outkick’s “Gaines for Girls” podcast, is a former Kentucky Wildcats swimmer who had to compete with biological male Lia Thomas, and had the incredible opportunity she made the most of it on Sunday.
Gaines had to deliver pre-race calls on the American circuit on Sunday before the Ecopark Auto Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. And in the process, he cried out to President Donald Trump! (Related: Army Baseball appears in most American fashion in history for its weekend series with the Air Force)
She then talked about how honored she was to pray before the race.
“It’s a surreal honor to make a pre-race call for Sunday’s race at Circuit of the Americas,” Gaines explained. Out kick. “We look forward to exciting racing days and the way this sport brings people together with our passion and love for our country.”
