Dale Strong: $22 million investment in GE Aerospace in North Alabama demonstrates that President Trump is ‘energizing American manufacturing’

GE Aerospace Boosts Northern Alabama Manufacturing

Northern Alabama’s manufacturing sector is set for significant growth with a substantial investment from GE Aerospace, based in Cincinnati.

Rep. Dale Strong reported that the company has allocated $22 million to the Huntsville area, which includes the acquisition of several new machines. This investment is intended to enhance the production of materials necessary for engine parts made from ceramic matrix composites.

Strong, a Republican representative from Huntsville, expressed that this move showcases the impact of former President Trump’s economic policies. He remarked, “This proves that we’re seeing a revitalization in America’s manufacturing landscape. Thanks to the Trump administration, the U.S. is paving the way for innovative manufacturing and vital supply chain materials.”

He emphasized his support for the President’s initiatives aimed at lowering taxes, reducing regulations, and prioritizing American workers.

The representative underscored the exceptional skills and talent present in the local workforce.

“The Tennessee Valley workforce is unmatched. We’re thrilled that GE Aerospace recognizes the commitment of our local talent. Collaborating with them and witnessing their continued growth locally is exciting,” Strong stated. “As I frequently mention, there’s simply no better place for business and creating well-paying jobs than North Alabama.”

Investment Plans

This investment in Northern Alabama is part of a broader strategy by GE Aerospace, which plans to invest nearly $1 billion into U.S. factories and supply chains. H. Lawrence Culp, Jr., the CEO of GE Aerospace, highlighted that this move is crucial in maintaining the U.S. as a leader in aerospace innovation.

“Focusing on manufacturing and innovation is critical for our industry and the future of the communities we serve,” said Culp. “We are committed to helping our customers modernize and expand while advancing technology that will redefine the future of flight.”

The engine developed by GE Aerospace and its joint venture partners currently powers a significant majority of global commercial flights and a substantial portion of U.S. military and helicopter operations.
