Our military is in danger. 2022 is the worst year in terms of recruitment in the history of the all-volunteer force, with every service falling short of its recruitment targets by 50%. We are now at a stage where too many veterans are advising their children not to serve in the military. This is something we cannot have. Our ammunition reserves have already been depleted by the war in Ukraine, and the CCP is rising to power. We need a commander-in-chief who can rebuild the army.
I am a 25 year veteran of the United States Navy. I served on a warship as a surface warfare officer he served four years, attended law school on Navy tuition and then served as a JAG. In that capacity, I oversaw Ron DeSantis, currently Governor of Florida and candidate for president of the United States. I can tell you that he was a hard worker, a hard worker, a conscientious advocate, and selflessly worked to help our sailors and Marines. We can also say that he is the one who can restore our military to its rightful glory. Because he knows exactly what to do. because he has done it. He is one of the few who has volunteered to serve with elite units in combat zones. He is the only one who has the academic, military, and political skills needed to restore our military.
Like any large organization, the military needs lawyers to ensure that those inside are obeying the law. But the military does not need officers striving for “diversity and inclusion” who impose racial quotas or indoctrinate military personnel with concepts of “white privilege,” “systemic racism,” and “unconscious prejudice.” The point of an army is to be capable, responsive, and deadly, but these diverse bureaucrats do little to help achieve those goals. There was a saying on my warship, “Fire and bullets are indistinguishable.” Putting an unqualified individual in harm’s way is reprehensible.
That’s why I’m glad to see Governor DeSantis launching a plan to dismantle the Pentagon’s diverse bureaucracy. I am also happy to know that he has plans to improve the academy and ensure future officers learn about military history and not the important racial theory.
I am also pleased to learn that he intends to take action against the sight of ex-military and intelligence officers using classified information for political purposes. The most egregious example of this came when 51 former officials signed a letter alleging that the Hunter Biden laptop case featured Russian disinformation. We know laptops are real. In fact, even the FBI knew it at the time. Nonetheless, all of these former bureaucrats tried to use their positions to give credence to these lies by putting the party before the country. Never again.
These people deserve to have their permits revoked, and Governor DeSantis will do that.
The military also lost its focus on being ready, capable, and deadly when it decided to oust some of its bravest and most capable special operators with COVID-19 vaccination mandates. Our special operators are of the highest fitness and highly skilled. We should do everything in our power to keep special operators. The Biden administration was doing the opposite. As a Florida resident, I am extremely grateful for the Governor’s excellent leadership in combating COVID-19, including banning unnecessary vaccinations for Florida residents. I’m happy to hear that if he is elected president, he will abolish mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for the military.
Everything Governor DeSantis does to the military has a simple, unifying theme. It’s about getting our brave soldiers to focus on their mission first. If he is elected president, the military will focus less on ideology and more on readiness, capability and lethality. That’s exactly what it takes, and he’s one of the many reasons I’m proud to endorse him as president.
