Daniels’ bill would add rape and incest exception to abortion restriction



House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels has introduced a bill that would amend the state's abortion ban with exceptions in cases of rape and incest.

Daniels (D-Huntsville)'s bill would amend the original bill and add exceptions, including cases of rape and incest, making abortion legal in these cases.

According to the bill, incest includes not only aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, but also step-brothers and step-parents “while the marriage relationship still exists.”
