Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Jake Auchincloss sparked a confrontation Tuesday by seizing the opportunity of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) hearing to lecture former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo about the 2020 presidential election.

Mr. Auchincloss repeated the same question.
Mr. Pompeo replied, “Yes, I do.” The former Secretary of State began to talk about his military career, but Mr. Auchincloss interrupted him and repeated the question.

“Of course, President Biden is the duly elected President of the United States, but I would like to take a moment to respond to your criticism. “We're going to respect that,” Pompeo said. Auchincloss again interrupted him.
“If you want to protect the system, you will call witnesses and allow them to answer when they make fundamentally baseless and vile allegations,” Pompeo said.
Auchincloss said he interpreted Pompeo's response to mean he did not believe Biden was freely and fairly elected.
“Please Chief [Hillary] “Clinton will be very clear about her election in 2016,” Pompeo quipped.
