‘Didn’t Want To Talk To Him’: Former Volunteer Fire Chief’s Widow Rejects Biden’s Call Post-Trump Rally Shooting

The widow of a former volunteer fire chief killed at a Trump rally on Saturday rejected a call from President Joe Biden following the shooting, according to the New York Post.

Helen Comperatore, widow of fallen firefighter Corey Comperatore, said she refused to speak to Biden after her husband's death. according to According to the New York Post, Corey, a volunteer firefighter and father of two, was killed in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he had been attending a rally with his family.

Helen made her stance on politics clear and expressed no animosity towards Biden. “I bear no ill will towards Joe Biden. I am not a political person. I support Trump. Trump is who I vote for, but I bear no ill will towards Biden,” she added. “He has done nothing wrong to my husband. That's what a mean 20-year-old kid did.”

The rally turned deadly when 20-year-old suspect Thomas Matthew Crooks allegedly opened fire on former President Donald Trump and the crowd. According to the New York Post, Corey was shot and killed during the riot, injuring two protesters and Trump.
