Former Democrat New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Saturday that he will begin his bid to become New York City’s next mayor.
After being accused of sexually harassing almost dozens of women in 2021, CUMO, which, including some of his staff, began considering entering the mayoral race a week before the announcement, has begun considering CBS News. It has been reported. He will be in a race involving several enemies, including Eric Adams, the incumbent mayor charged with federal corruption on September 26, 2024.
In a nearly 20-minute announcement posted online, Cuomo called the city “out of control.”
“I know that our New York City is in trouble today. You feel it when you walk down the street and try not to make eye contact with mentally disabled homeless people, or to prevent anxiety from rising to your chest when walking on the subway. You see it in empty storefronts, graffiti, dirt, influx of immigrants, random violence,” he said. “Cities feel threatening, out of control and in crisis.”
He also argued that urban circumstances exist because of “the actions of our political leaders, or, more precisely, the lack of intellectual behavior by many of our political leaders.” (Related: Disgraceful “Government of Love” Andrew Cuomo controls the NYC mayoral field: Polls).

Cuomo previously denied allegations of sexual harassment brought against him, but resigned on August 10, 2021 as governor for an investigation into each. His legal team later sued some of his accusers as well as James’ office, the outlet reported.

He admitted the “mistakes” that were made during his tenure.
“Did I always do everything right in the years of government services? Of course not. I know what I know now, will I do some things differently? Surely. Did I make a mistake? It hurts. He said in the mayor’s announcement video.
“And I believe I learned from them and I believe I’m a better person for that,” he continued. “I promise you this, I know what I need to do, and I know how to do it.”
Democrat New York Rep. Richie Torres approved Cuomo a few days before the announcement, CBS It has been reported Monday.
“When it comes to facing political extremism in New York, when it comes to facing the crime crisis, we need a tough guy like Andrew Cuomo, not a good guy,” Torres said.
