Yabapai County News – Matforce, a leading preventive organization focused on halting drug use by young people before starting drug use, continues to partner with local law enforcement agencies to provide programs and services to properly dispose of drugs throughout Yabapai County.

Since 2008, more than 44,800 pounds of drugs have been collected and properly disposed of by dumping drug events and dropbox locations throughout Yabapai County.

Prescription drug takeback events are a convenient way for community members to dispose of expired or unwanted medications. The Prescott Valley Police Station is holding the Dump the Drums event on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at the Prescott Valley Police Station, 7601 E. Skoog Blvd.

To promote the continued proper disposal of drugs throughout the year, 14 prescription drug drop boxes can be found throughout Yabapai County for convenient disposal. For more information, please contact your local police station.
