Disturbing Bodycam Footage Shows Inside Gene Hackman’s Home When His Body Was Discovered

The newly released police bodycam footage captures the moment police discover the remains of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa.

TMZ shared Shocking video In a report released on April 15, the footage showed the couple’s loyal dog lying next to Arakawa’s dead body after police made a horrifying discovery. The camera reveals messy scenes throughout the house, with items and clothes scattered around. The body of the famous actor was eventually found near the kitchen area.

Three male officers appeared on the footage, and the voices of female officers were heard throughout the recording. She walked through the house and evaluated the scene.

“Have you ever taken any photos?” she asked.

The man replied, “I haven’t taken any photos yet.”

A pile of jeans and clothing items were piled up next to a mirror of vanity filled with what looked like paired personal care products.

A few quiet moments passed after the officers placed Hackman’s body in an area completely different to where he found his wife. The adjacent room was a mountain and mountain peak, and it was also a state of confusion.

“Two areas completely separate,” the female officer said.

According to TMZ, another dog was found dead in a wooden frame after being reportedly crated after the appointment of a veterinarian.

The outlet reported that the New Mexico Department of Public Health conducted an environmental assessment and revealed that Hackman and Arakawa’s property had been invaded by rodents. They said dead pests and nests were found scattered across eight separate outbuildings.

Arakawa passed away from Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome on February 12th. Hackman died a few days later of heart disease and advanced Alzheimer’s disease, and may not have known that his wife had died due to his condition. Hackman’s long resume includes his iconic roles as Lex Luthor in “Poseidon Adventure,” “The Conversation,” “Crimson Tide,” and in the 1978 film “Superman.” He also appeared in Antz, The Birdcage, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Affertements, and Clint Eastwood’s Tolerance.
