A 44-year-old man faces animal cruelty charges after allegedly stabbing a dog in Yavapai County.
YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — A dog recently had to be euthanized after sustaining multiple puncture wounds in Yavapai County last week, authorities said.
michael mcguireThe 44-year-old suspect is accused of stabbing another person's dog up to 15 times with a 6-inch knife, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
McGuire was taken into custody on Dec. 29 after YCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence in Seligman where fire personnel attempted to treat the injured animal before putting it to sleep.
YCSO said McGuire is charged with felony animal cruelty.
