President Donald Trump has become the first presidential candidate to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment for campaign donors. A few weeks ago, at a Mar-a-Lago reception, Trump said:Cipher candidates” And after promising to see it through, it looks like he's doing just that.

In public statements, the Trump campaign attacked cryptocurrencies and those who seek to restrict the economic freedom of Americans.

“Efforts to reduce government control over Americans' financial decisions are part of a dramatic shift toward freedom. Today's announcement reflects President Trump's commitment to a policy that prioritizes freedom over socialist government control,” the campaign said.

“Biden surrogate Elizabeth Warren said she was building an “anti-crypto army” to attack cryptocurrencies and restrict the right of Americans to make their own financial choices. “With their new crypto options, MAGA supporters will build a crypto army to win the campaign on November 5th!”

Today, Yahoo Finance reported that President Trump is working with Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey on “day one” policy changes that will affect crypto traders.

“Over the past month, we've been working with the Trump Campaign to develop a Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency policy agenda. We have proposed a comprehensive Executive Order for President Donald Trump to sign on his first day in office – more details coming soon. Trump took his first steps this week, but there is still much work to be done. We are committed to raising $100M for the campaign to ensure the next US President is pro-Bitcoin,” Bailey tweeted.
