The case for America First has never been stronger.
In the aftermath of two historic hurricanes, Helen and Milton, former President Donald Trump has appealed to more conservative people as well as centrists and others who are tired of American politicians selling out the country. It has an opportunity to gain support from independent voters. But to do so, Trump will need to acknowledge two realities. One is that it is not as pro-Union as the Republicans claim. Second, foreign aid must end not only to Ukraine, but also to Israel. received Since 1946, U.S. aid has exceeded $300 billion, primarily for the military. Republicans have long held a big-picture platform: putting America and its workers first. Yet they still passed a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine, which House Republicans also recently passed. submitted a bill The move would give the federal government more power to crush unions after thousands of longshoremen on the East Coast went on strike in early October.
Republicans have remained largely silent about the historic longshoremen’s strike, otherwise harshly criticizing union president Harold Daggett’s nearly seven-figure salary and calling out foreign companies for exploiting American workers. He had not preserved any of his bitter feelings. But not Trump. Mr. Trump’s achievements are great. came out strong For the workers.
Harold J. Daggett, president of the International Longshoremen’s Association, speaks as longshoremen at Maher Terminal in Port Newark go on strike in New Jersey on October 1, 2024. Despite last-minute talks, officials at 14 ports along the eastern U.S. and Gulf Coast announced on Sept. 30 that, despite last-minute talks, officials at 14 ports along the eastern U.S. and Gulf Coasts made a last-ditch move to prepare for a labor strike that could hurt the U.S. economy ahead of the presidential election. “American workers should be able to negotiate for better wages, especially since most of the shipping companies are foreign-flagged vessels, including ONE, the largest consortium,” the former president said.
Fugedaboud Daggett’s salary, luxurious home, and alleged ties to the mob! Fugeddaboudit! The real story here was that foreign companies were bullying American workers, but most Republicans didn’t seem to care.
There’s also the issue of foreign aid, which Republicans must grapple with in the wake of the hurricanes that devastated the Southeast. Even though America has sent billions of dollars overseas, we Discuss the FEMA funding shortfallis an absolute scandal. Israel. egypt. Afghanistan. Ukraine. Billions and billions. Trillions.

There is no way around this, and no way for the establishment to justify it. FEMA spends more than $1 billion on illegal immigration and is underfunded, but the fact that Israel and Ukraine have been defrauding Uncle Sam of money for decades is simply insane. Whether Republican or Democratic, the Ukrainians and Israelis will get all the money they need for the war, but the people of this country who need disaster relief, many of whom are about to receive it, will not be able to get it. I don’t think there are any Americans who would be relieved to know that there are. struck by a category 4 hurricaneyou may be out of luck for the next few months.
Now is the perfect time for President Trump to take America First to the next level. The most important issues facing this country are now at the forefront. The media cannot ignore natural disasters in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Americans are crying out for a political party that is not overtly corrupt, not dependent on corporate or foreign interests, and that puts forgotten workers and hurricane victims first. But for the rest of the Republican Party, taking America First to a new level means proudly supporting American workers, supporting Ukraine and Israel, even at the political cost to big business donors and lobbyists. , meaning turning off aid to all other countries.
