“Get the hell out of here,” Donald Trump Jr. told an MSNBC reporter during a live broadcast of the Republican National Convention on Monday in response to a question about “family separation” under the Trump administration.
The incident occurred during a roll call at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to formally nominate former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Republican Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio was nominated as the vice presidential candidate. MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff confronted Trump's eldest son about the border policy that was heavily criticized by Democrats under the Trump administration. “I've covered the family separation crisis extensively, and I'm asking you, is a policy that intentionally separates 5,000 children from their parents going to continue?” Soboroff asked Trump Jr.
clock:
“Are you talking about the Obama administration?” asked the former president's son, who was accompanied by his brother Eric, sister-in-law Lara and fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Soboroff continued to press the issue, asking whether former President Trump would institute a “second family separation” policy if elected.
“This is MSDNC, and I expect nothing less from you clowns. Even today, even 48 hours later, you guys couldn't wait,” Trump Jr. said, referring to the assassination attempt on his father that took place on Saturday at a campaign rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania. “You guys couldn't wait with your lies and nonsense, so get the hell out of here.”

One of the photos used to illustrate family separations showed a crying 2-year-old girl who was detained with her mother during the Trump administration but was not separated from her family.
Soboroff handed the interview over to MSNBC host Katie Tur, who described the exchange as “asking tough questions of Donald Jr.”
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
