Donald Trump Reveals Celebrity-Filled Event at the Kennedy Center

Trump Announces Kennedy Center Honorees

President Donald Trump revealed the first Kennedy Center honors since he became chairman, sharing the news in a video on True Social.

The five artists being honored are Kiss, Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, Gloria Gaynor, and Michael Crawford. Trump expressed particular admiration for Stallone, praising his talent and noting how he isn’t typically in the spotlight in a national sense.

Trump mentioned feeling honored when Stallone shared the news with him. It seems there was a genuine connection there.

Continuing, Trump talked about “First Blood” and his appreciation for the film. Back in January, he named Stallone a “special ambassador” for Hollywood, alongside Mel Gibson and John Voight.

In addressing the rock group Kiss, Trump acknowledged the mixed feelings some members had expressed toward him, noting Gene Simmons’ varied opinions. Interestingly, guitarist Ace Freely has voiced his support, while Paul Stanley has criticized certain parenting choices regarding transgender issues.

The President has encountered some progressive initiatives at the Kennedy Center since taking charge.

He celebrated the achievements of Strait, Gaynor, and Crawford, highlighting their significant contributions to the entertainment industry.

It’s worth noting that Tom Cruise reportedly declined to be honored due to “scheduling conflicts.”

The announcements for the 2025 Kennedy Center honors are set to be made in December.
