Donald Trump roasted George Clooney on the True Social Sunday and called him a “failed political critic.”
The president’s harsh words were in response to Clooney’s “60 minutes” interview that same night. The well-known actor discussed his manipulation of the New York Times and his decision to drop support for Joe Biden. This was thought to contribute to Biden’s decision to open the door for Kamala Harris to take his place.
Clooney shot Trump by citing his $16 million honorary settlement with the president’s ABC News and his $20 billion “voter intervention” lawsuit filed last October against CBS, offering “60 minutes,” compiled interviews with Kamala Harris in more flattering light.

Clooney promoted his new Broadway play, “Goodnight and Good Luck.” This drew similarities by dramatizing the difficulties that reporters face in pursuit of the truth and targeting Trump.
“When the other three properties fail, when the law and enforcement and legislative departments fail us, the fourth property must succeed,” he said.
Clooney said, “The ABC has just settled its lawsuit with the Trump administration, and CBS News is in the process. We see the idea of using government to reduce journalists by using scares, fines, and businesses.”
The actor doubled down by saying, “The government doesn’t like the freedom of the press. They never have. And that’s not on the side of you being a conservative, you’re there, or whatever side you’re there. They don’t like the press.”
Trump took to the truth society to slap the actors.
“Why did the now highly unreliable 60 minutes fail political critics by performing a total of ‘Puffpieces’ in their second film ‘Star’, George Clooney,” Trump wrote.
“He fought hard for sleepy Joe’s election, then dumped him like a dog right after the argument. I think I pushed everything out for “Kamara” under orders from the Obama camp.

Clooney did not respond to Trump’s verbal lashing.
