Dr. Phil McGraw appeared to backtrack on his support for former President Donald Trump in an ambiguous interview with Piers Morgan on Tuesday.
Mr. McGraw had publicly expressed support for the former president at a rally in New York City in late October, but told Mr. Morgan that support was “an act of treason” on his part. He explained: preview He said in an interview that he was angry with then-Vice President Kamala Harris.
“I have asked Kamala Harris to speak over 25 times, and I have offered to do the same at her rallies.”
Dr Phil told Piers Morgan that Trump’s speech at the rally was an “act of treason”.

“I have requested over 25 times to speak to Kamala Harris,” he said. “I offered to give the same speech at Mr. Harris’ rally.”
“I’m not here to support Donald Trump,” McGraw said, “and I don’t like a lot of the things he’s said and done.” The TV psychologist also said he would not publicly reveal who he plans to vote for.

The television psychologist spoke at President Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October and described the former president as “tough as an old boot.”
“Human beings are not perfect. We don’t strive for perfection. We strive for excellence,” McGraw told the gathering. “But you don’t have to love everything about someone to love them. And what that person needs most is celebrity endorsement.”
