Six people have been arrested after video was released showing a terrifying machete brawl at a theme park in Southend-on-Sea on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reports.
Machete-wielding youths caused chaos on Tuesday night when they clashed outside Adventure Island theme park in Southend-on-Sea, resulting in six arrests and a violent incident which was filmed. Theme park visitors saw Young people panicked and ran away as knife-wielding youths fought nearby. Due to the severity of the incident, authorities issued dispersal orders in key areas of the city and at the train station. The orders are in effect from 4:20pm on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday. “We want to keep our communities safe and will use all appropriate powers to do so. Our officers responded to these incidents reported by members of the public this evening and the information they provided was invaluable,” reported the Daily Mail. “I would also like to thank the vast majority of law-abiding members of the public for their cooperation today,” said Superintendent Morgan Cronin, highlighting the police force's commitment to public safety.
The dispersal order is intended to prevent further violence and ensure public safety, and police are appealing for witnesses to assist with their investigation. “If you know anything please speak to one of our officers or contact us for help,” Cronin added, according to the Daily Mail.
