Jameel Jackson, a 22-year-old Gen Z voter, explained on Fox News on Tuesday that the Biden-Harris administration's policies on issues like wages and housing are leaning young male voters toward supporting former President Donald Trump in the November election.
The New York Times/Siena College vote Men between the ages of 18 and 29 approve of Trump more than both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a poll released Saturday. Jackson, a Trump supporter, said on “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that Biden “shattered one of his biggest dreams” with his failure to withdraw from Afghanistan, noting that his friends are now struggling to find jobs, make more money and start a home for their families.
“My reaction was, well, first of all, when I think about it, it reminds me of the honeymoon period when President Biden first took office and he tried to pull out of Afghanistan, and that's when he crushed one of my biggest dreams of serving in the military right out of college,” Jackson said.
“So I look at my male friends my age, and they say they want to own a house, they want to have a family, they want to make a ton of money,” Jackson continued. “We all have our dreams, and we start to realize that it's becoming more and more unattainable. I have male friends who have finance degrees but can't find work so they're becoming baristas.”
Jackson went on to say that compared to the Trump administration, Biden and Harris' policies have “shattered or thwarted” the dreams of many young male voters. (RELATED: Exclusive: Biden-Harris Administration rapidly shifts Justice Department to “anti-Trump” as election looms)

“So I think with the Biden demo, a lot of our dreams are being dashed or thwarted, but when you look at Trump, you see everything that happened in 2019. Even Kamala Harris said things are cheaper, it’s cheaper to buy a home, it’s a lot easier to keep your family in order and safe. [more] “It's manageable, so I think guys my age can relate to that sort of thing,” Jackson said.
Since Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee, there has been a sharp increase in the number of young men supporting Trump compared to when President Joe Biden was the candidate, according to New York Times/Siena College polling data. A recent poll of six battleground states found young men favoring Trump over Harris by 13 points, compared with an average of 11 points when Biden was the candidate.
Though she has yet to release an official policy platform on her website, Harris faced significant backlash from experts on both sides of the aisle after she unveiled her economic plan in mid-August. While Harris focused on “corporate price gouging” to lower prices in grocery stores, many experts warned that measures on pricing could drive up costs even further and create a black market.
