FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The Defense and Health Administration (DHA) has announced that due to the Diamond fires, TRICARE recipients in Maricopa County, Arizona may be able to receive emergency prescription refills through July 8.
To receive an emergency prescription refill, a TRICARE recipient must bring their prescription bottle to any pharmacy in the TRICARE retail network. If the bottle is not available or the label is damaged or missing, the beneficiary should contact her Express Scripts, Inc. or retail network pharmacy for assistance.
To find a network pharmacy, beneficiaries can call Express Scripts at 1-877-363-1303.
You can also search the network pharmacy locator at https://militaryrx.express-scripts.com/find-pharmacy.
If possible, go to the pharmacy where you wrote the prescription. A prescription filled by a retail chain may be filled at another store of that chain. If the provider is available, the beneficiary can call the network pharmacy for a new prescription.
Non-Active Military TRICARE recipients may obtain emergency care from a TRICARE-accredited emergency care center or health care provider and no referral is required. This allows beneficiaries to seek non-emergency treatment for illness or injury in the absence of their primary care physician due to an emergency.
